Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Type of Clothing Should I Wear?

When you first start, comfortable workout clothes are best. The tighter the workout clothes and the less pockets, the better. Once you're a member with us, you'll have access to our custom shop for branded gear and apparel.

  • How often should I Train?

Like anything in life, the more you do it, the better you will become at it. We recommend starting twice a week where possible.

  • Which Martial Art is Right for me?

You should join a martial art class where you have fun, learn something new every class, and feel a real sense of progression.

Most people get hung up on the actual Martial Art, even if they know nothing about it before they start. You can learn one or more martial arts with us, knowing you'll always have fun in a friendly environment.

  • Do I have to be Fit to Join?

No! You can get fit by joining us. Far too often we hear, "Once I'm in shape I'll start". "This is backward."

You can do this. Starting anything is hard at first. But our programs make it a fun and enjoyable journey of learning new skills and getting in shape.

  • What Payments do you accept?

We REALLY prefer major credit and debit cards or direct withdrawals from an account. We can also take Venmo, PayPal, and/or run Square-Up in an emergency. Cash and Checks are also welcome.

  • How long does it take to become a Black Belt?

It varies. Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu system is our only program that we offer with a belt ranking system. It takes an average of 10-15 years to get a back belt in BJJ.

  • Is there Physical Contact during training?

Yes. However, if you are not ready for sparring (controlled contact to practice your techniques), we are not going to let you do so.

We always aim to make sure you're ready to push yourself, but in a safe and fun environment.
